Mary & Royce Peterson
Owners
Mary Madeline Meline Peterson, a retired educator with a lifelong love of the outdoors, and her husband, Royce, are the owners and hosts of Raven’s Roost. Together, they fell in love with this 15-acre redwood property just north of the Mendocino Coast and have spent years creating a peaceful, welcoming retreat.
Known for their warmth and hospitality, Mary and Royce have shared many evenings with friends around the large bonfire pit beneath the trees. After hosting a friend’s wedding on the property, they were inspired to open Raven’s Roost to other couples seeking the same beauty, serenity, and natural magic that defines this special place - where the sound of the nearby ocean mingles with the whisper of the redwoods.
